Welcome to the teachers' guide. On this page you will find resources to support WebLabs activities.
You can visit the WebLabs Project homepage here.
The overview of our pedagogical model describes the principles of teaching and learning in WebLabs.
Here is an overview of the WebLabs project from a Communities of Practice perspective.
Click on one of the headings below for guidance about exploring the five main mathematical and scientific topics of the WebLabs project:
- Collisions: Explore what happens when objects collide in 1-Dimension.
- Lunar Lander: Investigate position, velocity and acceleration, plotting graphs, building games and more.
- Models Systems and Randomness: Explore different ways of understanding "random" phenomena in nature.
- Sequences: Explore whether the sums of sequences like 1, 1/2, 1/3, 1/4... converge or not. Examine interesting sequences such as the Fibonacci sequences.
- Infinity: Explore questions like "Are there more natural numbers than even numbers?"
Note that there are also additional teacher resources such as learning snapshots and general overviews available under the Teacher resources tab for each topic.
